Sea World

We had been wanting to take the kids on a fun family trip before school started but since I got hired with Southwest and had lots of training this summer we weren't able to do all the things we had wanted. We were able to fly out the Wednesday before school started and got to Sea World and then flew home that night. And the first exhibit we went to was the Penguins and looked who is a sponsor! Really Southwest is a great company to work for, we even were able to get our discount tickets to Sea World through them :) It was nice to get away from the really hot heat and enjoy a day of cooler temps in San Diego, good thing we brought jackets!!!!!!

Sadie and I decided we were kind of like penguins because we both love standing with our faces to the sun! Awweeeee it feels so good :)
Of course the kids thought we had to sit in the "Soak Zone" at the dolphin show...... Kevin and I sat behind them, and luckily didn't get wet then!

I don't know if this is a pained look on Tate's face or he just wanted me to hurry and take the picture so he didn't miss the show.

I think the dolphin show was my favorite, the kids really like the Pet Show were all the animals did cool tricks and stuff.

And what would Sea World be without Shamu!!!! It was really amazing and very entertaining, and again luckily we didn't get wet here :)

The Seals were really entertaing also!

So we did go on a River Rapids ride 'Ship Wrecked' and I normally don't go on rides that will get me all wet especially when I know I will be cold, but the kids talked me into it. All was going really well until the end of the ride and Kevin and I ended up under a waterfall and so we were drenched. The kids thought it was great and wanted to go again but I kept reminding them we couldn't fly home soaking wet. So here are the kids laying out in the sun trying to dry off. Of course as soon as the sun went down it was freezing and we didn't get all the way dry before we left. But it was a fun time!

Its a Shamu Cookie Dessert :)
Me and my Honey near the end of the day.

We had a really great day together, we might have gone home a little wet and got more sun then we thought :) But it was an amazing day with my beautiful family and I enjoyed every minute of it!!

First day of school

It is that wonderful time of year again when the kids go back to school! The one day that kids get out of bed and are ready before parents even open their eyes, wish that could last all school year!

So this year Kennedy is in Middle School, doesn't she look so grown up!

This is the neighbor girl that Kennedy walks home with, luckily her school has uniforms so that makes it lots easier!!!!!

And Sadie is in 4th grade and Tate is an all day 1st grader!

Happy Birthday Kennedy!

So my little Kennedy is now 11, so I guess she isn't so little :( She is growing up so fast!!!!
For her birthday breakfast this year she wanted Omlets, bacon and Krispy Kreme Donuts :) Now that is my kind of breakfast!!!

And of course presents are always fun to get....

Kennedy loves the Matsumoto T-Shirt we got her in Hawaii and is always wearing it so we got her a new one to take turns wearing.

Luckily Kevin was able to take the kids to Red Robin for a Birthday dinner with Josh and Kati and cousins since I had to work then they came back to the house and had cake and ice cream.

Then on Saturday we were able to have a friend party and go bowling :)

I think she ended up having a great Birthday!!!! And yes her mouth is blue from frosting :)
Love you lots Kennedy!!!!!!!
